Abdullah Gül University architecture school was established in early 2012. Its main goal is to be one of the leading architecture schools of Turkey by means of its academic staff, education system, curriculum and the opportunities offered to students.

AGU architecture school will mature up the students as highly aware, leader and open-minded individuals as a result of its institutional relationships, its practice based curriculum that offers international internships, and its academic staff who are experts in their field with national and international experience and publications.

AGU architecture school sets special emphasis on organizing scientific and cultural activities such as symposiums, conferences, workshops, and expositions to enrich the architectural environment, particularly in Kayseri where it is located.

AGU School of Architecture Program Outcomes

  1. To perceive the theory and practice fields of architecture as complementary to each other, to reflect them to the process of design and to simultaneously benefit from them.
  2. To think and learn in an abstract, systematical and critical manner, to articulate an individualized architectural culture, to transfer his/her skills into the processes of design and practice.
  3. To conceptualize the relationships between different scales and fields of design, to utilize them concurrently and to express the information produced in different drawing scales, methods and media with appropriate representation techniques.
  4. To act with the consciousness of global citizenship, professional ethics and abilities required by the age we are living in.
  5. To have theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the processes of design and construction, building services, infrastructure and systems.
  6. To be aware of the tangible and intangible heritage characteristics of the natural and built environment and to possess the required skills in the design and application of documentation and conservation projects.
  7. To have theoretical knowledge and practical experience on traditional/regional and contemporary building materials and construction technologies in an architectural design approach based on sustainability and environmental consciousness.
  8. To approach problem solving and design experimentally, and to convey and share this approach in his/her professional life.
  9. To have theoretical knowledge and practical experience on global problems and responsibilities concerning the natural and built environment.
  10. To be conscious of ethical, legal, social, cultural and economical responsibilities concerning the design and construction of the physical environment.
  11. To research and design with an interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary approach.
  12. To share theoretical and practical knowledge, skills and qualifications as a responsible team leader or member in collaborative work within his/her professional or related fields.
  13. To sustain life-long strategies for learning, acquiring and using knowledge.
  14. To have professional communication skills in his/her native language and in English, adequate for research, writing and presention.

Candidates may apply with their national High School diploma and/or University Entrance Exam. However, we strongly recommend all candidates to apply with international exams such as the SAT, ACT, IB, AP, GCE A- or AS-Levels, in order to increase their chances of acceptance to the University.

Undergraduate applicants should provide the following documents:

b. Valid Passport (ID and Validity Date pages)

d. Last 2 years High School/University Transcripts
e. TOEFL certificate (Not mandatory but strongly recommended. Please send your results via AGU's institutional (DI) code:B426)
f. Others if applicable (Recommendation letters, Awards, Certificates, Medals..)

a) AGU TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS*

AGU wants to put its students in the best possible position to succeed in their studies, by offering the following scholarship to the very best of its newly accepted first year students:

TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS   ̶ No Tuition fees will be charged for the entirety of the student's undergraduate studies at AGU (the $800 yearly tuition fee is fully waived and will be deducted from the original Fee Package)

Criteria for the selection of Scholarship awardees include:

International Exams (e.g. SAT, ACT, GCE A-Levels, IB)
High School results
English Proficiency (TOEFL)
Awards/Certificates
Statement of Purpose
**Important Notes:

These scholarships are awarded to Faculty students only and will cover the entire duration of the program
Scholarship awardees are still required to pay the pre-registration deposit, which corresponds to their yearly housing fee within 7 days of acceptance to AGU in order to secure their position a the University.
A scholarship will automatically be suspended if the awardee does not maintain his/her CGPA above 2.0.
The decision to award scholarships is at the discretion of the AGU Foreign Student Examination Placement and Evaluation Commission.
b) AGU TOP ACHIEVER SCHOLARSHIP*

Every year, among AGU’s international student body, the undergraduate full Faculty student*** with the best CGPA (all years combined) will be awarded a full tuition scholarship**** for the the year following his/her achievement. This scholarship is to be renewed or awarded to another student based on each year’s CGPA results.

*Note: the decision to award any of these scholarship opportunities each year remains at the discretion of the Abdullah Gül University and the AGU International Student Selection Committee.

***Students having spent no time at the AGU School of Languages prior to starting their Faculty courses

****If the student with the best CGPA already benefits from a Tuition Scholarship from AGU, the Top Achiever Scholarship will be transferred to the student with the second highest CGPA result.
