    The Master’s programme in Management in the Building Industry gives you insight into all management-related phases of modern construction; from ideas about shape and use to project design, construction, management, operation, and maintenance. Besides the technical aspects, the programme also covers fields such as organisation, economics, project management, working environment, logistics, and information technology.

    Thus, the programme in Management in the Building Industry focuses on the whole – in both the construction project and in the construction company.

    Degree designation

    Master of Science in Engineering

    (Danish title: Civilingeniør / cand.polyt.) (starting in September)

    With a Bsc in Engineering you can enroll in the Master of Science in Engineering in Management in the Building Industry.
    Management in the Building Industry can also be studied as a Master of Science in Technology progamme. Applicants who hold another qualifying education than a BSc in Engineering can apply for this programme.

    During the programme, you work with the interplay between design and execution of building structures and civil engineering, management in the building sector, and management systems within the field of construction.

    1st semester

    • Project Management and Production in Construction (15 ECTS)

    • Management of the Construction Process (5 ECTS)

    • Framework of Construction (5 ECTS)

    • Development of Project and Quality Management Systems (5 ECTS)

    2nd semester

    • Choose between: Management of Construction Industry Companies (15 ECTS) or Management of Construction Industry Facilities Management Companies (15 ECTS)

    • Information Technology and Building Modelling (5 ECTS)

    • Development of Advanced Project and Quality Management Systems (5 ECTS)

    • Strategy and Performance Measurements (5 ECTS)

    3rd semester

    Choose between:

    • Innovation in Construction (30 ECTS)

    • Scientific paper writing (30 ECTS)

    • Traineeship in an engineering company (30 ECTS)

    • Study at another university (30 ECTS)

    • Individually designed semester (30 ECTS)

    4th SEMESTER

    • Master's thesis (30 ECTS - possibly 60)

    The Master of Science in Engineering programme starts in September. In order to apply to the Master of Science in Engineering programme, you are required to have a Bachelor's degree in:Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Civil Engineering)Management in the Building Industry can also be studied as a Master of Science in Technology progamme.
