Communication networks, most notably the internet, have become a crucial part of everyday life. This Master’s examines all aspects of such networks, from fundamental technology to application.

Telematics is the very foundation for connecting today’s demanding users worldwide. Ever increasing bandwidth, growing mobility, new applications on a daily basis and, a variety of standards all of which have to provide seamless data transfer. You need a thorough understanding of a broad range of topics: fixed/wired and mobile/wireless networking technologies; design methods and performance evaluation tools; network management and security issues; and of course services and applications. The Master’s programme enables you to gain a thorough understanding of the core topics in telematics, while also offering you a choice of relevant courses that focus on specific aspects of this fascinating domain. You will develop the high-level analytical and critical abilities you need to understand and adapt to the evolution of technologies, and to design new products or systems. Telematics puts you at the cutting-edge of scientific endeavour. It does not have pre-defined specializations to choose from. Instead, you will tailor the programme to reflect your own specific interests together with your academic advisor. Graduates find careers in numerous sectors of industry and the academic world.
