If you have completed an undergraduate degree and are looking to further develop your subject knowledge and analytical skills for application in the fast-paced financial world, then a postgraduate Master's degree is for you.

You will learn how to take both general management and marketing skills and apply them to a range of retail-specific issues, such as developments in the supply chain, the role of buying and merchandising in the retail sector, retail marketing and retail strategy. These are all set into the context of the change to digital marketing and the pressures that come from multi-channel retailing. Ultimately, retailing is still a people business and you will learn to understand and relate to your customers and to your staff in order to improve the business.

Over the summer period (term 3) you are required to carry out a significant piece of academic work on your own initiative, using the skills and knowledge gained through the programme. This culminates in the submission of a written dissertation.

A minimum of a second-class Honours degree (2.1 preferred) or equivalent. A relevant subject is preferred but students without a relevant degree who can show an interest in the subject will be considered.Applicants without these formal qualifications but with significant appropriate/relevant work/life experience are encouraged to apply. IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in all subskills) or equivalent. English Language Requirements IELTS band: 6 IMPORTANT NOTE: Since April 2014 the ETS tests (including TOEFL and TOEIC) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa.
