As a result, there is an increasing demand for graduates who can meet the challenges that come with globalisation, and who can develop and execute development strategies in an international perspective. The Master's programme in Operations and Innovation Mangement with specialisation in Global Business Development will provide you with competences in international strategy and change processes, and you gain tools for analysis, organisation, and development in a global context.

Degree designation: Master of Science in Engineering

During the Master's programme in Operations and Innovation Management you specialise in Global Business Development. You get to work with subjects such as strategy, innovation and change processes. You gain a balanced analytical, systemic and managerial insight into subject areas of the programme.

Moreover, you get a chance to build a network industry even before graduation as the programme is characterised by a high degree of collaboration with industrial partners.

Operations and Innovation Management is a two year master programme. The headline of each semester is as follows:

1st Semester

Integrated Solution focusing on Enterprise Engineering and Design, Global Operations Development and Organizational Analysis and Design.

2nd Semester

Global Implementation focusing on Innovation and Change Management, Global Business Performance and Business Intelligence.

3rd Semester

Traineeship or study abroad.

4th Semester

Masters Thesis preparation.

On the third semester, you have the option of doing an internship in Denmark or abroad, or spending a semester at a university abroad. Aalborg University has collaboration agreements with universities around the globe, and the OIM research environment has a wide range of internship contacts.

Examples of internships:

  • Danisco subsidiary company, USA. Focus on sustainability in connection with product, production and strategy.
  • The Danish Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic. Focus on charting strategies regarding penetration of the Czech market by Danish companies, particularly in relation to information and communication.
