The School of Environmental Science and Engineering (SEE) welcomes applicants with backgrounds in all areas of science and engineering who are interested in applying their specialized abilities to managing environmental problems.
The SEE graduate program is designed to educate students to get a balanced overall view and understanding of diverse environmental problems, to gain specialized knowledge and experience in their own interest areas, to have the ability to identify and solve the problems encountered in the real world, and ultimately be independent environmental researchers.
The SEE program offers degrees of Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in both environmental science and environmental engineering. SEE does not have an undergraduate program.

Comprehensive subjects in major areas of environmental science and engineering are offered to provide essential bases of understanding environmental problems for students with diverse backgrounds. Programs of study are highly flexible to encourage students to develop intensive and diverse research abilities. In addition to the SEE courses listed below, students are encouraged to take courses in other departments such as chemistry, life science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and others depending on their interests.
