Educational organisation

The two-year, international, anglophone Master's programme expands and deepens the knowledge that students acquired in their Bachelor's degrees. This is an international programme - the language of instruction is English. The Master's in Digital Media is a two-year programme leading to a Master of Science (MSc) or a Master of Arts (MA) degree. The Master of Arts is issued by the University of the Arts Bremen. The University of Bremen issues the Master of Sciences degree.

Course objectives

Students will be equipped with the theoretical, technical, artistic, and aesthetic skills to prepare them for work in the field of the design, development, application, and exploration of digital media. In the course of this study programme, students will acquire skills necessary to create interactive systems for a multitude of contexts, employing methods from computer science, digital media design, and media theory. Their sensitivity with regard to the social, cultural, and environmental framework governing these developments and applications will be sharpened.

Language requirements

C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, TOEFL (paper-based) 550 points, TOEFL (computer-based) 220 points, TOEFL (internet-based) 90 points, IELTS Band 6.5 to 7, Cambridge CAE, Grade A or B, Unicert III, or equivalent

Enrolment fees

At the beginning of each semester, students must pay a semester fee of approx. 280 EUR. This includes a semester ticket for public transport.

Costs of living

In addition to the costs for accommodation, living expenses (including health insurance and semester fee) amount to approx. 600 EUR per month.

Job opportunities

Cooperation with research projects in research institutes, opportunities for internships, and jobs in dozens of small, medium, and large companies in Bremen.
