This program will inspire and challenge you to contribute to the future of the fashion industry by providing you with the key pathways to influence global fashion design.

The Master of Fashion (Design) allows you to explore advanced approaches to fashion. The exploratory space of RMIT’s fashion studios will enable you to critically investigate and develop your practice working both independently and with your peers, alongside leading local and global practitioners.

The Master of Fashion (Design) gives you the platform to extend your fashion design practice, culminating in a unique body of work, such as an extensive fashion collection that will be publicly showcased. This program will enable you to develop your knowledge, proficiency and expertise within a global fashion environment, underpinned by an in-depth understanding of the social and cultural shifts and how they impact on the fashion system.

Throughout your studies you will build critical relationships and connectivity with the global fashion industry that will influence your practice in response to fashion, related industries and creative practices. Together with these alliances, leading researchers and practitioners will support the development of your practice, research and future career intentions. You will be exposed to insights into working in international fashion practice and have the opportunity to work with high profile companies. These experiences will assist in realising your independent fashion concepts within an international context.

By positioning your practice within the relevant industry context you will be able to innovate and challenge existing communities of practice.
