The MSc Fashion Management course covers the creative, managerial and commercial aspects of the global fashion industry and enables graduates to develop the skills and knowledge required to follow a rewarding business career within the fashion industry. 2013/14 entry free places available for Scottish/EU Students.

In the dynamic contemporary commercial environment, fashion and promotion are intrinsically linked. This innovative MSc Fashion Management course was developed, and launched in 2011, with this in mind. It combines teaching an exciting mix of visual and creative skills modules with those that develop students' understanding of communication, retail and business in the global marketplace today.

This course is aimed at those who need to gain specialist fashion knowledge and skills alongside marketing and management techniques specific to the international fashion industry. It is ideal for students who have an undergraduate honours degree in Communication and Media, Marketing or Management as well as Fashion Design students who wish to further their business, marketing and management understanding.

How you will learn
Full-time Study

In full time mode, you will learn through a combination of lectures, seminars and workshop sessions. These comprise of a mix of group study, discussion, simulation and presentations of findings by teams and individuals. You will work as an individual and also as part of a team on case studies, team activities, presentations and discussions.

Access to our virtual learning environment, CampusMoodle, is also provided giving you access from home to learning materials (including videos, e-books and journals).

Applicants will have an Honours degree or equivalent. Your degree can be in most disciplines so long as you are passionate about fashion, keep up with current trends and have a keen desire to work in the fashion sector.All international students, for whom English is not their first language, must provide evidence of linguistic ability, by gaining either IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent in TOEFL prior to receiving an unconditional offer of a place on the course. English Language Requirements IELTS band: 6.5 TOEFL iBT® test: 90 IMPORTANT NOTE: Since April 2014 the ETS tests (including TOEFL and TOEIC) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa. Fee-Free places
A number of free-fee places for part-time and full-time studies are available for Scottish/EU applicants for 2013/14 entry.
These places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis to suitable candidates who indicate their wish to be considered for this funding on application.

Merit Scholarship
Aberdeen Business School offers a number of merit scholarships to outstanding students. The scholarship is available to:

* international students who will study the course by full time and distance learning and pay for the fees at the international rate; or
* UK or EU students who will study the course by full time and the fees are set in excess of 6,000 GBP; or
* UK or EU students who will study the course by distance learning.
