Contemporary architectural practice has an international dimension, both in globalizing world and the borderless European Union. English became the global “lingua franca”. Since 2013 the Diploma of Architecture from the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University is officially recognized in all EU Countries. Earning master’s degree in architecture can allow our graduates to pursue a fascinating and prosperous lifetime career.

This postgraduate, secondary level of study has a design-oriented program, which focuses on the practice of architecture, urban planning, environmental construction problems, sustainable buildings, and computer-aided design techniques, including 3D CAD and Digital Prefabrication Courses. Emphasis is also put on architectural history and theory. Krakow, the beautiful old city, the former capital of Poland, now a center of business, tourism and education, will serve as an active learning environment for students.

The postgraduate Master’s Program in Architecture (MSc) takes 1.5 year. Program comprises 90 ECTS points, spread over three modules (semesters).
The first academic semester (Spring) usually lasts from the beginning of March to the end of June. The fall semester starts on 1st October and lasts through mid-February.
After the first semester, during the summer break, in July, a two-week study tour will be organized. Students and guiding tutors will visit the most important Polish towns, focusing on historical architecture as well as the best examples of modern architecture. Special attention will be given to cultural buildings. Students will participate in concerts, musical and sport events, visit museums and libraries.
