The International Master SERP-Chem is a two-year Erasmus Mundus training in Surface, Electro, Radiation, and Photo-Chemistry with elements of Management, Business, Innovation and Valorisation, Communication and Patent law.

The Master SERP-Chem aims at training students in the most performing experimental and theoretical tools used and developed in chemistry, and to become the topmost researchers and managers in areas of great relevance such as :

* green chemistry based on photon-induced reactions,
* nanomedicine and renewable energies, applications of radiations,
* catalysis and industrial processes based on innovative surface treatments and modification,
* environment concerns.

An intensive summer school allows students to develop entrepreneurial skills management projects and bussiness skills.

The programme promotes mobility and interdisciplinarity. The students will attend lecture in at least two different countries of their choice : France, Italy, Poland, Portugal. A 6 months master thesis will be performed during the last semester. In order to encourage networking, the thesis will be co-supervised by two professionals in Europe and in the home country. The language of instruction and examination is English. Language and civilization courses are compulsory.

To ensure an optimal learning environment, the ratio professor/student is close to 2. The host institutions offer tutors to help in the social integration of the participants (tutors, visas, accommodation, cultural activities).

Students will be awarded a multiple diploma with a joint diploma supplement.

The admission criteria is the bachelor degree (180 ECTS or equivalent) in Chemistry or Physics with English skills.

The application must be submitted online before November 30, 2010 in order to compete for European (Erasmus Mundus) scholarships (1000EUR/month).

Scholars are welcome to apply.
