Applicants of the Bachelor of Vocational Education and Training need to have a recognised formal trade or professional qualification and work experience in your proposed training area. Exemptions are available, dependent on your qualifications and work experience, helping you reach your personal and professional goals sooner.

Entry requirements

  • Year 12 English (4 SA)
  • a recognised formal trade or professional qualification, or equivalent, in their content area
  • have substantial workplace experience in their proposed teaching content area
  • have access to an approved instructional setting in the post-compulsory education and training sector. Such access must enable applicants to plan, implement and evaluate actual instructional programs as required by specified courses within the program. Written verification of such access will be required before enrolment can be confirmed.

Special entry

  • those who do not hold formal, recognised qualifications, but have extensive relevant training and work experience, may be considered for special entry

English Language Requirements

Domestic and international students from a non-English speaking background are required to satisfy English Language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.
