This qualification reflects the job roles of workers in the accounting business, including BAS Agents and contract bookkeepers; and most of course the employees performing bookkeeping tasks for organisations in a range of industries. It includes preparing and lodging industry and instalment activity statements, and providing advice or dealing with the Commissioner on behalf of a taxpayer with regard to activity statements. Individuals in those roles employ theoretical and specialist knowledge and skills to work autonomously, and exercise judgement in completing regular and non-routine activities.Licensing/Regulatory InformationWork works in the occupational areas where this eligibility could be utilized are susceptible to specific regulatory conditions. Consult with the FNS Financial Services Training Package Companion Volume Implementation Guide or the relevant regulator for certain assistance with requirements.Persons providing a small business activity statement (BAS) service for a fee or other reward has to be filed by the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) and also this eligibility is currently cited as meeting with the TPB instruction requirements for enrollment. Other states apply, including a predetermined period of experience. Persons searching BAS agent enrollment should check current registration conditions with all the TPB, as enrollment requirements have been reviewed regularly.
