The Bassoon Programme at Giuseppe Verdi Institute of Music Studies offers a comprehensive and challenging curriculum for aspiring bassoonists. Requirements for the Bassoon Programme at Giuseppe Verdi Institute of Music Studies

The Bassoon Programme at Giuseppe Verdi Institute of Music Studies is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become successful bassoonists. In order to be accepted into the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of two years of prior bassoon playing experience.
• A minimum grade of B in music theory and ear training.
• A minimum grade of B in music history.
• A minimum grade of B in music literature.
• A minimum grade of B in music performance.
• A minimum grade of B in music composition.
• A minimum grade of B in music technology.
• A minimum grade of B in music pedagogy.
• A minimum grade of B in music improvisation.
• A minimum grade of B in music arranging.
• A minimum grade of B in music conducting.
• A minimum grade of B in music business.
• A minimum grade of B in music production.
• A minimum grade of B in music entrepreneurship.

In addition to the above requirements, applicants must also submit a letter of recommendation from a music teacher or mentor, as well as a personal statement outlining their goals and aspirations as a bassoonist.
