This double degree program gives students the chance to gain hands-on, industry-oriented training with the relevant skills to maintain and enhance environmental integrity along side industry development. Students learn to estimate that exactly the sustainability-related consequences of tourism, and also this links with animal conservation, biodiversity and animal behavior. Students may develop their analytical skills, management and research skills to better understand how to economize animals and the ecosystem, and also how to engage with stakeholders from the scientific, public and small enterprise industries. Careers chances include eco tourism manager, eco tourism guide, wildlife manager, environmental teacher, environmental consultant, environmental manager, policy officer, communications officer, writer, museum curator.

Graduates are eligible for membership / associate membership of the Ecological Society of Australia, Environmental Institute of Australia, Australian Mammal Society, Australian Marine Science Association, Society for Conservation Biology, Australian Wildlife Management Society, Australian Physiological Society, Australian Tourism Research Institute, Pacific Area Travel Association, Ecotourism Association of Australia, and Also the Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education.
