Description
Our Supply Chain Management course explores the factors contributing to business success, particularly the role of management. We place emphasis on the application of models and techniques necessary to achieve superior performance in business organisations. You will develop your analysis and planning skills and further you ability to solve business and management problems.
This course will give you a solid grounding in supply chain management theory and how to apply this theory to the management of supply chains in a wide range of sectors and environments. You will learn how to communicate persuasively, use ICT to improve your personal productivity and collect, analyse and critically interpret data.
During the first year of this course, you will study topics relating specifically to business and management; exploring organisational behaviour, operations management and the business environment.
During your second and third years, the focus of the course will switch to supply chain management and you will study modules including strategic management, operations management and procurement and sourcing.
You will also have the opportunity to undertake a research project, focusing on one key area of research, within a supply chain management context, building on the knowledge and skills you have gained throughout the rest of the course.
Professional recognition This course is recognised by the Chartered Management Institute and on successful completion of the course you will be an Associate member of CMI. Once you have gained relevant work experience you may upgrade to a full member.

Requirements
Entry RequirementsWe normally make offers on a minimum of 260 UCAS tariff points, plus GCSE Maths and English Language at grade C. BTEC National Diploma/International Baccalaureate/Advanced Progression Diplomas at equivalent tariff. Access to HE - Pass. Applications from candidates without formal qualifications are welcomed.
International entry requirementsWe accept the equivalent of UK entry requirements from a recognised overseas qualification. English language requirementsYou must have competence in English language and we normally require Grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification. The most common English Language requirements for international students are IELTS 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 in all four components) or TOEFL internet based 72 (with at least 17 in listening & writing, 20 in speaking and 18 in reading).
Middlesex also offers an Intensive Academic English course (Pre-Sessional) that ranges from 5-17 weeks depending on your level of English.
