Requirements
- Having consulted the Current Opportunities pages and chosen a research topic, please apply online via the online application form. Please note that applications will not be considered until they are complete and both references have been received. You will be advised how references can be submitted during the application process.
- As part of your application please ensure that you state the title of the chosen project and the proposed supervisor(s). If you are applying for a project of your own choosing we ask you please to upload a brief research proposal, approximately two sides long, as a "Course Supporting Document" within the application.
- Please note that an offer of a place does not constitute an offer of funding to support your research. The page on Fees and Funding provides information regarding sources of funding, which cover fees and maintenance.
- Candidates will need at least a 2:1 undergraduate degree in Geography or a related subject, and offers to final year undergraduates are conditional on this requirement. A strong Masters degree would be an asset to an application, but this is not a necessary criterion.
- IELTS: Average of 7 or above, with at least 6 in each component
