Information Technology

This app is aimed at graduates lacking any information technology (IT) background. Students study computing fundamentals such as database systems, computer networks and programming before moving onto more complex studies in software engineering, intelligent systems, internet computing and web-based and ecommerce computer networks. The course will give students the capacity to develop and manage computer systems, including knowledge of Java such as programming, algorithms and data structures, the essentials of system design technology and fundamental IT-related math. Students complete a group job in software technology. In addition they have the choice of completing a minor thesis should they want to proceed to a PhD. If students have prior knowledge and experience with programming and data structures, they could proceed faster to complicated subjects.

The Master of It is Licensed by the Australian Computer Society (ACS). Supporters of the Master of Information Technology (Computer Networks) will apply for membership with the ACS. Membership could be susceptible to additional or ongoing requirements beyond completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant body such as details.
