This dual level concurrently increases expertise in the fields of nutrition and health promotion. With increasing emphasis being placed on averting disease using sound nutrition, this mixture of skills is ideal for places where health promotion skills are often required and therefore are considered highly desired, such as government health departments and other agencies associated with preventing chronic disease. It's particularly relevant for work in government health departments and from community agencies associated with health related areas such as alcohol and other drugs, trauma control, disease control, heart disease prevention, pest control, road safety, research, health care and community development and capacity building. Students enrolled in the dual degree program may choose to move to one level course in one of the two areas. In this event, the relevant Head of School shall determine the amount of charge to be transferred to the single level.
