The University of Bradford is a public, plate glass university located in the city of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. The university received its Royal Charter in 1966, making it the 40th university to be created in Britain, but its origins date back to the early 19th century.

The university has so much to offer: close-knit, friendly campus, approachable lecturers, understanding and helpful support services, a lively community of sports and societies, and a culturally diverse city on our doorstep.

With 21% of students coming from more than 125 different countries, the university is used to giving newcomers to Bradford a very warm welcome.

Great thing happen here and not all of them in the classroom. Using our expertise to make a real difference to people’s day-to-day lives is at the heart of all we do.

He served twice as Prime Minister during that time, first from 1964–70 and then from 1974–76.

The University of Bradford was the first British university to establish a Department of Peace Studies in 1973, which is currently the world's largest university centre for the study of peace and conflict.
