Our Master's programme in Marketing and Management covers core business practices and marketing principles, giving you the range of competencies you need to become marketing professional or pursue a management career with a specialism in marketing.

You do not need to have a first degree in business, marketing or management; the programme is designed for those seeking to build a broad knowledge base in order to launch their career, change career direction, or take the next step in an existing career.

You’ll develop a critical understanding of management subjects including:

  • operations management
  • international business
  • economics
  • human resource management
  • finance and accounting

You’ll also build key marketing knowledge and skills, including:

  • marketing strategy
  • marketing communications
  • services marketing
  • consumer behaviour

This programme is designed to provide you with a thorough grounding in the multiple disciplines of marketing and management, underpinned by the main concepts and theories. The programme contains an international dimension. The aim is to produce fully rounded managers with an emphasis on marketing by combining marketing theory and practice with a detailed treatment of other subjects concerned with the management of organisations.

You must have a degree (not necessarily in business and management) from an approved university.

Exceptional candidates without a first degree but with appropriate professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA) and work experience may be admitted on their merits.

 

English language requirements:

If we need evidence of your proficiency in English, you will be required to achieve the following minimum scores in one of these recognised tests:

IELTS: 6.0 overall, with no more than one sub-test at 5.0 and no other sub-test below 5.5, and successful completion of an additional six week English pre-sessional course taught by the University of Bradford, which must be completed prior to the start of the course; or

IELTS: 6.5 overall, with no sub-test less than 5.5; or 

Internet-based TOEFL: 94 overall, with minimum scores of Listening 17, Reading 18, Speaking 20, Writing 17); or 

PTE-A (Pearson Test of English-Academic): 60 overall, with no sub-test less than 51.

Candidates who are not citizens of the European Union will also be subject to further requirements imposed by the government for the issue of a student visa. Please check the UK Home Office website for the most up-to-date information, as these requirements are subject to change.
