University of Auckland Scholarships, New Zealand

The University of Auckland in New Zealand provides scholarships for master students from Japan as well as developing ADB member countries.

The ADB-Japan Fellowship Program aims to enable scholars from developing ADB member countries to undertake postgraduate research in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related areas, at participating academic institutions in the Asia-Pacific region.

The scholarship covers all expenses, including tuition fees at the University of Auckland; a flight from the scientist's home country to Auckland, the basic living wage in Auckland;healthcare and health insurance in New Zealand; flight from Auckland to home country at the end of the course.

A special grant may be provided for research scientists to prepare a dissertation.

Requirements for candidates

Masters students studying public health, ecology, development research, international business, engineering are allowed to participate in the competition.

In addition, you must be a citizen of an ADB country or Japan, enroll in a master's program at an approved institution, hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and have at least two years of full-time work experience (acquiredafter graduation), be fluent in English, at the time of application, the candidate must not be over 35 years old (in exceptional cases, for programs that are suitable for senior officials and managers, the age limit is 45 years). Participants in the program must return to their home country upon completion.
