US Journalism Grants

Department of Journalism City University of New York provides grants to business journalists with experience in this field. The purpose of the funding is to support ambitious authors covering fundamental issues of the world economy and business.

Funding is provided for a period of one to three months, the size of the grant is from 5,000 to 15,000 dollars, depending on the timing of funding.Throughout the program, authors will work with professional editors to improve current projects and previously written articles.

Requirements for candidates

All business journalists with at least five years of experience can apply for the grant.Applications are accepted from both freelancers and full-time journalists.

How to apply?

To apply for a grant, you must describe your project in three pages.The application should highlight the novelty and relevance of your project.

In addition, the application must contain three published articles, an abstract, and two letters of recommendation from editors or colleagues.
