Scholarships to study in the Czech Republic

The government of the Czech Republic offers several scholarships within the framework of the international development program in order to support students from developing countries wishing to pursue higher education in educational institutions in the Czech Republic.

Scholarships are available for bachelors, masters and postgraduates wishing to study in Czech and take a Czech language course before training, as well as for masters and postgraduates wishing to study in English. The following disciplines are available in English: economics, agriculture, computer science, environment and energy. The list of universities participating in the program can be found on the official website.

The scholarship covers the cost of studying and living in Czech Republic. It includes payment for housing, transportation and meals, and standard health insurance.Scholars must buy tickets to the Czech Republic and back on their own.Currently, the monthly scholarship for bachelors and masters is 500 euros, for graduate students - 570 euros.

Requirements for applicants

Applicants for the scholarship must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be over 18 years of age;

  2. Have citizenship of one of the developing countries;

  3. Enter one of the Czech universities for a bachelor's, master's or PhD program, plus an additional one-year course of studying the Czech language;

  4. Have an appropriate degree in the relevant field.

How to apply?

To apply for a scholarship, you must fill out a form on the official website of the Czech Ministry of Education and Sports. Applications will end on September 30, 2017.
