Development Economics

 Development Economics is one of the branches of Economics which is dedicated to the formation of a political and economic growth strategy for living standards in developing and poor countries. The goal of the Development Economics is to find ways to overcome poverty in developing countries. It studies the environment and resources that the country has, and analyzes the causes of poverty.

Development Economics is an interdisciplinary study - it includes methods and topics of Public Health, Education, Politology, Environmental Economics.

Those who wish to study Development Economics need to complete a Bachelor degree in a related area - for example, Economics or Sustainable Management, since Development Economics is usually taught as a Master degree. Study programs in Development Economics usually include core courses in Microeconomic and Macroeconomic theories, and also courses in Econometrics. Master study programs are more flexible than Bachelot, so students can choose from a wide range of subjects the ones that are the most relatable to students’ research projects and academic interests.
