Summer School for Curators from the Dresden Art Gallery

The Dresden Art Gallery is one of the most famous and oldest museums in the world. A summer school for curators is held every year under the auspices of the Dresden Art Gallery. The duration of the course is 7 days. The Summer School is suitable for both experienced and novice museologists and museum workers, as well as for those wishing to study the exhibits of the Dresden Art Gallery in more detail. The program includes lectures, seminars, discussions, tours.

The Summer School will be held from 19 to 26 August 2017.

The cost of a seven-day course is 2000 euros. This amount includes the cost of living in a separate room, meals, and travel around the city. There are also several scholarships available, the scholarship application can be submitted along with the application for participation.

How to apply

Applications for participation in the summer school can be submitted by April 30, 2017. The application includes a questionnaire, a letter of motivation, and a letter of recommendation. All materials must be sent to the following address:
