In what countries you can study for free

Some countries initially offer free education. Here, you won't need to look for scholarships to cover at least the cost of tuition. Most often we immediately think of Germany and France, but other countries offer free education.

Norway

The main advantage of this country is free education in English, not just Norwegian. And you can find a variety of educational programs. True, you have to keep in mind that living in the country is expensive. There are also fees for a semester of about 600 NOK (about 63 euros). The most popular in the country are the University of Oslo, UIT The Arctic University of Norway, and the University and College of Southeast Norway. Poland

It is possible to study in Polish for free. To enter a university you have to pass a language proficiency exam. Certification is carried out annually by the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language. The cost depends on the level of the language you want to take the exam for. For B1-B2 you have to pay 150 euros.

In Poland, there are also the University of Warsaw, Jagiellonian University, Warsaw University of Technology, and the University of Wroclaw, which are internationally ranked. Bachelor's degree here lasts 3-4 years, Master's degree — 1 or 2 years.

For example, a place in a hostel will cost about $ 150 U.S. dollars.

It is also possible to enter the bachelor's program immediately after the 11th grade, but to do this you need to pass some exams in Czech. In this way, you can prove that your certificate is equivalent to a Czech high school diploma (here you attend school for 12 years).

Greece

Another country where you can study for free in the official language. You have to get a certificate to prove your knowledge of the language. The exams take place in summer and fall in Greece at the Modern Greek Language Center, which is located at the universities in Athens and Thessaloniki. At the same time, it is comfortable to live here because of the low cost of living and a favorable climate. Lunch on average costs 14 euros, stay in a one-room apartment in the center — 230-300 euros. There is also a problem - high unemployment.

The most famous universities that make it into the rankings are the National Technical University of Athens, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Slovakia

To obtain a language course in Slovak for free you have to take a state exam in Bratislava, which takes place approximately four times a year. The fee for it is 120 euros.

Slovakia attracts by its nature and mountainous terrain, so it is often visited by fans of winter sports. Accommodation in the country is inexpensive. Renting a studio will cost about 400-500 euros per month, and lunch about 6-7 euros.
