"Alternatives" - essay competition and summer school in Georgia from InLiberty

Every year, InLiberty hosts a student essay competition and summer school dedicated to the social reality around us. Students and graduates of universities from post-Soviet countries are invited to participate in the competition. The finalists of this year's competition will receive an invitation to the InLiberty Summer School in Georgia on August 20–26, and the winners will receive cash prizes.The theme of this year's competition and school is "Alternatives".

Requirements for candidates:

Students, graduate students and recent graduates of universities of post-Soviet countries are invited to participate in the competition.

The minimum length of an essay is 5 pages or 9000 characters.

The essay should describe existing or pre-existing social institutions that, in your opinion, are not widespread enough in the world.It is advisable to give as specific examples as possible, but the organizers do not limit the choice of topics. The essay should also offer options for the dissemination of your chosen social institution in unusual conditions.

Deadline: June 15, 2017

The results of the first round of the competition will be announced on July 15, 2017.
The jury will select the finalists who will participate in the InLiberty Summer School on August 20-26 at the Free University training center on Lake Bazaleti, and will receive a grant covering all expenses for participation in the summer school, except for tickets.

The winners of the InLiberty competition will be announced at the summer school itself. Participants who took second, third and fourth places will be awarded cash prizes of 50,000, 25,000 and 17,000 rubles, respectively.
