Nanoscience

Nanoscience, or nanotechnology, is a discipline which works with matter on the atomic scale, which means structures smaller than 100 nanometers. Nanotechnologies are useful in medicine, computer science, engineering and a variety of other areas. Nanoscience is a very young discipline; it includes current work and theoretical researches.

Career options

Nanoscience is a very diverse discipline, so graduates can find a job in a variety of areas; they can start a research career in biotechnology, medicine, pharmacy, electronic technologies, national security, forensics, material science and production, environment research, aerospace. Private and government organisations usually require a very specific Masters or PhD degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies.

Graduates can also start teaching or science journalism career.
