Grants from the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine, USA

The National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine in the United States, in conjunction with government laboratories, invites outstanding young scientists and engineers to participate in research in US laboratories as visiting scientists.In addition, several postgraduate fellowships are awarded.

The duration of the program is two years, during this period scientists will receive funding, the amount of which depends on the chosen laboratory and fund.

Requirements for Applicants

Applicants must have a Ph.D., Sc.D., MD, DVM, or other equivalent degree.Candidates who received a PhD or equivalent less than five years ago will participate in the Young Scientist Program, and those who received a PhD more than five years ago will participate in Senior Scientists.Proficiency in English is required.

Applications from scientists already receiving funding from their chosen institution will not be accepted.

How to apply?

Applications for participation in the program are accepted four times a year - from December 1 to February 1, from March 1 to May 1, from June 1 to August 1 and from September 1 toNov. 1.

Before applying, candidates should contact the laboratory of interest and find a supervisor.

The application includes official transcripts, as well as three (for graduate students) or four (for scientists) letters of recommendation.All documents must be translated into English.
