Postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh

The Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh provides three postdoctoral fellowships in the humanities and two in the social sciences. The internship will last one year and will begin in September 2017. The trainees will be involved in teaching, work on their own projects, and also take part in the school's joint projects.

The internship scholarship is $ 47476. In addition to this amount, the trainee can qualify for travel expenses of $ 3,500 and reimbursable travel expenses of $ 1,500. The University of Pittburgh provides interns with a package of additional benefits, including: medical (including dental) insurance, life insurance.

In order to apply for an internship, you must have a PhD from 2016 or 2017.You must also provide a certificate of fluency in English.

The application can be made online until February 13, 2017.To do this, you must provide the following list of documents:

  1. Resume (CV);

  2. Content of your dissertation;

  3. List of scientific interests;

  4. List of pedagogical interests;

  5. An excerpt from your scientific work;

  6. Curriculum, ideas and methods of your course;

  7. Three letters of recommendation.

Please note: letters of recommendation must be uploaded to the site by the referrers themselves no later than February 20, 2017.In addition, if you are only earning a PhD in 2017, at least one referee must confirm the date of the upcoming degree in their letter.
