Competition for scientists from the world scientific academy TWAS

Each year, TWAS World Science Academy awards cash prizes to nine scientists from developing countries. There will be one $ 15,000 prize each in nine categories: Agronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Astronomy, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine, Physical and Social Sciences.Each award is accompanied by a medal.The awards ceremony will take place at the general meeting of the academy.

Requirements for participants

1. Scientists who have lived and worked in a developing country for at least ten years are allowed to participate in the competition;

2. The research achievements of the participants must make an outstanding contribution to the advancement of scientific thought or contribute to the sustainable development of technology.

How to apply

Applications from the candidates themselves are not allowed, it is necessary that the participant is nominated by another person. To do this, you must fill out a form on the official website of the competition.Acceptance of applications ends on March 31, 2017.
