Contemporary Art Scholarship
The purpose of the Judith Neilson Fellowship is to support the study of contemporary Chinese art in a global context. Fellows will earn a PhD in Contemporary Chinese Art from the Department of Art History at the University of Sydney under the direction of Professor Stephen Whiteman.
The scholarship is $ 30,000 per year, it is handed out to the student, and does not cover the cost of university tuition.The term for granting the scholarship (as well as the term of study at the university) is three years.
Eligibility Requirements
Scholarship applicants must have a Master's degree (or Bachelor of Honors) in the relevant field. In order to qualify for the scholarship, you must first enter the University of Sydney for a PhD program.Academic experience in one of the following areas is also required: art history and theory, Chinese studies, visual culture, curatorial studies. English proficiency and research skills required.
