Win $ 1000 and turn your project into a product

Applications from students and recent graduates are accepted until June 30 - according to the conditions of the 3D Hubs competition, you must complete your studies at the university no earlier than July 2018. This opportunity is available to engineers, designers, and entrepreneurs. It is necessary to propose an innovative project by manufacturing a product or part of it using 3D printing.

Last year, Loughborough University student Archie O'Brian won the competition. He created an unusual knapsack, with the help of which any swimmer can move in the water at a speed of up to 13 kilometers per hour. The swimmer independently sets the desired speed using the controller. There is no mechanism for turning in the device, but it is not difficult to move in the desired direction - it is enough to turn in the desired direction.

You can use the novelty not only for entertainment. The inventor suggested that this backpack will be useful to rescuers to help to drown people.

“The support I received after the competition is invaluable. I was contacted by everyone I needed to start a business, from CEOs to potential investors, ”says student Archie O'Brien, who received a grant last year to implement the project.

Individual and collective applications are accepted. You must select the appropriate category from the following list (you can specify up to two categories): product design, robotics, transportation, healthcare, and sustainable development. The jury consists of engineers, designers, and businessmen. The winners will be announced on July 17 on the 3D Hubs blog. All the details are on the site of the organizers.[nine]
