Germany's Best Universities
Rheinisch-Westfalen Technical University of Aachen
It can safely be said of the University of Aachen that it is looking to the future. At the moment it is one of the most advanced universities in Germany and it has no plans to stop there. Almost half of the students here study mathematics and there are also excellently developed fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and so on. Due to such a strong technical orientation, the humanities are taught much weaker at the university. The student fee here is approximately 260 euros per semester. Such quite adequate price fully justifies itself, because the diploma of Aachen University is one of the most prestigious in Germany. University of Mannheim
This institution is the best in socio-economic sciences and, like the University of Aachen, leads all German top rankings in these fields. The university has a strong international orientation, and companies established in Europe readily hire its graduates. Nevertheless it is not easy to enter the university: the competition among applicants is high. Moreover, unlike most universities in Germany, tuition at the University of Mannheim is paid for international students. It costs 1,500 euros, and the student fee (about 160 euros) must also be paid.
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
And another technological university is at the top of the list. The Karlsruhe Institute is number one in computer science (incidentally, Aachen University is breathing down its neck in second place). It is similar to the University of Mannheim in that it also focuses on broad international cooperation, and therefore you can be sure that after graduating from the Karlsruhe Institute there will be no problems with finding a job. Unfortunately, it is similar to Mannheim in that foreigners have to pay a tuition fee, and it costs about the same. But the university is closely connected with various companies, and it can also offer training in the latest disciplines, which are not represented everywhere.
All of these universities are not only ranked in the German top ranks, but also in the European top ranks, and they rank very highly in the latter. Of course, the rating of the magazine «WirtschaftsWoche» is not limited to them, with the full list you can familiarize yourself. But it is important to understand that studying at any of these three universities will provide you with first-class knowledge in your field of study, and a diploma from any of them will be a ticket to a new life and a pass to the best companies in the world.
