BI Norwegian Business School Master's Study Scholarship


Conditions of participation:

Applicants with an average A score on the ECTS scale or equivalent highest scores on international scales.

Students currently enrolled in the BI Siviløkonom program can apply for a third year of study.

The BI Presidential Scholarship is available to enroll in all graduate programs.

How to apply:

Write a cover letter, no more than one page, indicating your achievements instudy, and also explain why you should receive this scholarship.

Upload the Scholarship Application Letter along with your complete application to the online portal.

Students currently enrolled in the BI Sivøk program can apply for the third year by sending a scholarship application email to myfuture@bi.no.

Application deadline:

Applications for scholarships - until March 1.

Applications from Sivøk students - until March 1st.

How the selection works:

  • BI ensures the allocation of scholarships between Master's programs

  • Priority may be given to applicants from selected countries, selected BI partner schools or enrolled in priority master programs.

  • All candidates will be evaluated on the ECTS scale.Applicants with international bachelor's degrees will have their ECTS grades translated.

  • Other factors that may affect ranking include other academic achievement, GMAT / GRE / CAT scores, extracurricular achievement, and special personal achievement.

  • Preference is given to applicants seeking their first master's degree.

  • Final decisions cannot be appealed.

Scholarship

- For Norwegian citizens: The scholarship covers the full tuition fee for each semester for up to two years if the student meets the academic achievement requirements.

- Citizens of other countries: the scholarship covers the full tuition and living costs for each semester, for up to two years, if the student meets the academic performance requirements.

Academic Achievement Requirements:

  • All applicants must meet the Academic Achievement Requirements tokeep the scholarship.

  • Earn 30 ECTS points per semester.

  • Minimum BI ECTS cumulative grade point B GPA at the end of each academic semester.

  • Candidates who have received the BI Presidential Scholarship must be prepared to become a BI Ambassador, act as spokespersons, assist in recruiting and create a supportive learning environment.Details of responsibilities will be specified in the scholarship agreement.

Number of scholarships:

  • Maximum 20 scholarships for foreignapplicants and 10 scholarships for Norwegian applicants are awarded for the academic year starting in autumn 2019.

Please note:
You can apply for more than one scholarship however BI Norwegian Business Schoolawards only one scholarship to each student.

  • Applicants from outside Norway who are eligible for a regular student loan through the Norwegian State Education Credit Fund (subject to at least 180 ECTS points from a Norwegian institution)) can only apply for the BI Presidential Scholarship and are not eligible for the Living Scholarship.

  • Applicants who have already completed a master's degree do not receive priority for a scholarship.
