Russian students will get quality online courses

Inessa Roman-Pogorzhelskaya took the position of manager of partnerships with Russian universities in the Coursera educational project. Previously she was a public relations specialist at Google. She reports that she would be happy to help with partnerships with Russia. There are plans to reach a wider audience, including entering the international market. Inessa also notes that Russia needs to introduce an innovative format to the educational process.

Dafna Koller president and cofounder of Coursera notes: "We hope that more and better quality online courses will appear in Russia given that we now have a manager who handles this very important region. We have particularly dedicated students in Russia - they make up about 3% of our platform's audience of 11 million. Our goal now is for even more people in Russia to benefit from courses from the world's leading universities."
