Summer language courses in the Czech Republic

The largest universities in the Czech Republic invite you to participate in intensive summer schools in the Czech Republic:

  3. Masaryk University / UniversityMasaryk (Brno)

  4. Palacký University in Olomouc / Palacky University in Olomouc (Olomouc)

  5. The University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice / University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice

  6. The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen

Courses will be held in the summer months from July to September,and their duration can vary from 3 to 4 weeks depending on the course content defined by each summer school.

PROGRAM

In addition to studying the Czech language, the summer school program also includes seminars on Czech literature, culture and history, theater, music and dance performances, trips, etc.

FINANCING

The scholarship includes:

  • Free mealsand accommodation, including breakfast, lunch and dinner

  • Costs of payment for the course, including educational literature

  • Free access to cultural events, trips that will be organized as part of the summer courseschools

  • public transport within the city

The scholarship does not include:

  • International travel costs,

  • Costs associated with issuing a visa,

  • Insurance costs.

Who can apply?

Representatives from the following countries (listed in alphabetical order):

Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada (Alberta), China, Colombia, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India,Israel.Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Mexico, Mongolia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Ukraine, UK, USA and Vietnam.

This program is intended for adult foreign students, as well as translators, teachers and scientists whose work is directly related to the Czech language.In addition, the courses are also open to anyone interested in the Czech language, literature, history and culture.

IMPORTANT!

The applicant must be at least 18 years of age no later than the first day of the start of the Summer School, otherwise his / her application cannot be accepted.

Fellowships may only be awarded to applicants who have been appointed by the competent authorities in the aforementioned countries.The selection of candidates is usually carried out by the relevant foreign government bodies, in some cases by Czech diplomatic missions.

In the event that the scholarship holder misses more than 4 days of the course, a place on the course may be offered to the next applicant.

The number of scholarships and their distribution to individual summer schools is established by MEYS (theMinistry of Education, Youth and Sports)

SELECTION OF CANDIDATES

Successful candidates will be contacted directly by the organizers of the Summer School.
