Grants from the European Society of Cardiology
The European Society of Cardiology offers several grants for internships for young doctors from member countries of the society (these include Russia and other CIS countries). Grants are provided to support young doctors in their pursuit of internships in the world's most equipped medical centers - last year, interns were hosted by the Royal Brompton Hospital in London and St. Bartholomew's Hospital there. Each center will accept one participant in the program.
The internship period is three to six months.
The amount of the grant is 1,500 euros per month for personal and work expenses. The organizers also pay the host center € 500 per month if the equipment available at the center is not sufficient for a specific internship program.
Requirements for candidates:
Age - less than 38 years old;
Members of the Society of Cardiology;
Completed medical education;
Arrangement with the host center, which provides all conditions for the practice of cardiologists;
Possibility of obtaining a visa;
Interest in one of the following areas of cardiology: echocardiography, cardiovascular magnetic resonance, nuclear cardiology, and computed tomography.
How to apply?
The grant application consists of two parts - one is completed by the participant, the other by the receiving medical center. The program participant's application includes a resume and a description of the desired internship.Both parts must be sent to the following address: EACVI@escardio.org. Applications are accepted until September 30, 2017.
