4 universities in Korea received a ban on the study of foreign students

This limitation was established under the IEQAS (the Ministries of Justice and Education's International Education Quality Assurance System), which was implemented in 2011 to assess the ability of educational institutions to accept international students.And from that moment on, the standards were established to which the institution must comply.

Sanctions were imposed on 4 universities due to their refusal to meet IEQAS standards.The illegal residence of students, their language skills, financial condition are just a few, but the main factors that were taken into account when evaluating universities.

These measures are only effective for newly admitted students.Those who are currently undergoing training are allowed to stay.During the accreditation process, 37 Korean universities and colleges received permission to admit foreign students for three years.The plans include the number of accredited academic institutions to reach 83.
