A few tips for beginners

  • Learn German words and their genre together. This will determine which articles you use;

  • First, develop the passive skills: listening and reading. Children don't start speaking right away because you need to get these skills right away. Only then can you start speaking and writing;

  • Look for similarities between the languages you already know. This will make it easier to learn words;

  • With time, give up translating words into your native language. To explain the meaning, use the language you are learning;

  • Practice as much as you can.
