Filmmakers Without Borders is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of filmmakers.

The main objectives of the grant are to share unique perspectives and projects, to foster the development of diverse communities and cultures, and to support independent voices from around the world.

Proposed projects must cover one of the following topics:

  • Social justice

  • Opinion of women

  • Opinion of youth

  • Identity

  • Cultural exchange

  • Climate change

Grants are available for projects at any stage of production: development, production, post-production, finished work in the application for the festival.

Various types of projects are available for the grant: short films, feature films and new media projects. Short films lasting from 6 to 40 minutes can be presented in the genre of auteur (storytelling), animation, documentary and experimental films. Authors and documentaries are allowed for a grant for full-length projects (more than 90 minutes).Authors', documentaries and experimental ones can participate in new media projects.

Who can apply?

Citizens of any country who have reached the age of 18 are eligible for the grant. They must have relevant digital skills and technology.Also, all candidates must submit samples of their work, filmed in any language of the world.

How to apply?

  1. Prepare supporting materials, which include a video essay.With it, the candidate can introduce himself, describe his project and explain how it can be successfully completed.

  2. Submit an online application.
