Open air exhibition in the Alps SMACH. 2019

The SMACH.2019 competition is open to both individual artists and creative groups. The topic of work is Heimat. This word is not translated literally from German into many languages ​​of the world, including Russian, English, and Italian. It is customary to call the homeland, but the organizers ask to consider the concept at a different deep level, expressing in the competition works a set of common values.

Art objects must reflect a deep understanding of the history, traditions, architecture, and nature of the exhibition site. Before you start developing your idea for a competition, read about San Martin de Tor and come up with your way of drawing attention to the area. An important condition is that the art installation must not harm the environment.

The jury will select 10 works, each of which will be located at a separate location. The winners will receive 2,000 €. The artists themselves choose the materials for the production of works, decide the issue of their transportation and think over the positioning. During the installation of the installations, meals and accommodation are provided in San Martin de Tor (up to 4 nights). You need to disassemble the art objects and take them away yourself before September 15th.

The works will be located in the summer of 2019 in the open air. Visitors will receive information about each object using QR codes. The information will be available in English, Italian and German. The project aims to draw attention to the area.

To participate in the competition, you need to send an application with visual material illustrating your project (drawings, sketches, collages). Save the attachment in PDF format (A4 or A3 size).In response, you will receive a short message ("Ok") confirming your registration. You can apply until March 17. Read carefully the terms of participation.

On-site work is expected to begin on 3 June. The exhibition will run until September 15th.
