The action plan is as follows:

Write a short story about yourself in English (how old are you, where are you from, write a little about your hobbies).

Select several people with similar interests who are looking for penpals, write to them in Direct. Submit a story about yourself.Point out that you will be happy to write first.

There are two scenarios for the development of events: they drop your mailing address or refuse with the wording “I'm sorry, please, I'm not looking for new friends temporarily”.In the second case, you should not be upset - such refusals are not uncommon.

The envelope can be bought at the post office, but it is better to make it yourself from colored cardboard or scrapbooking paper.Sometimes on Instagram pages in the profile header it is indicated which stamps a person collects. Then it's better to choose something that matches the interests of your new pen pal. In addition to a letter, it is customary to put small surprises in an envelope - postcards with views of the city in which you live, calendars, stickers.

Remember to include your return address in English on the envelope.Before sending, it is customary to take a picture of the letter and post it in your account with the hashtag #outgoingmail.Received emails do the same, only the hashtag is different - #incomingmail. Pay attention, the addresses in the pictures must be either "blurred" in the photo editor, or covered in the photo with some object.
