5 general tips for interviewing at Harvard Business School
Newspaper “The Harbus” visited Harvard Business School recently as it completed interviews with applicants. Nezavisimaya Gazeta set out to find out five main problems that arose during the admission of current first-year MBA students.
Below are five tips that were noted by the staff of the commission this year.
Follow your resume to tell.
Disjointed speech, stream of thoughts, or vice versa, silence will lead both you and your interviewer. In order for the interview to go well, you need to write a competent resume that clearly states your advantages and good qualities.
What trait do you have that we didn't find out about from your resume?
Your interviewer should be sure that he wants to enroll you in the school.Hence, tell us in detail about your business successes or plans. Think about what would set you apart from other candidates.
What's your most interesting topic this week?
Being aware of everything is the guarantee of an erudite person who has every chance to study at Harvard Business School. Actively share global news or from an area close to you. This will show your interest in public life.
How are you able to make important decisions?
Good question.Surely there are a lot of life stories to tell about. The story should follow a logical chain. You should not be afraid to show that you are an individual, even if the topic comes about your digestion.
Justify your choice.
Describe the difficult situation you faced and how you got out of this situation before getting here. Tell us that this choice was difficult, but you are confident in it and are ready to develop leadership skills in yourself, despite the "bumpy" road ahead.
