Research grants for journalists

Journalismfund.eu provides grants to in-house journalists for topical international research.This year, the authors of the best projects will share the sum of 195 thousand euros. The organizers can compensate for travel costs, translation, access to paid databases - it all depends on what is required to implement the idea proposed by the participant.

Applications are accepted until July 15, 2019. Within a week after the deadline, the organizers may ask participants to provide additional documents.It usually takes a month to review all applications and make a decision.

The jury consists of four experienced journalists, whose names were not disclosed until the results of the competition were announced. The works of the participants will be evaluated according to the following criteria: relevance, originality and innovativeness of the idea, research methods, applicant's work experience and recommendations. Applications from journalists are accepted four times this year. The next deadline is October 14th. Those who have already received this grant are allowed to resubmit their documents.
