The International Organization for Migration issister organization of the UN and, as the lead UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners.IOM is committed to ensuring the orderly movement of refugees and others in need of international migration assistance around the world through the provision of services and advice to governments and migrants.

Main functions / responsibilities.The candidate will:

- Support the head of mission and other program team members in their day-to-day responsibilities.
- Assist in the preparation, organization and conduct of workshops and other meetings held in connection with the implementation of the activities and programs of the mission
-Participate in technical meetings, working groups, seminars and other coordination meetingsrelated to the implementation of IOM activities and programs;and / or IOM partnerships with the Government of Madagascar, civil society organizations, the United Nations or the diplomatic community.
- Engage in the preparation of notes and background papers on topics related to the activities and programs carried out within the mission.
-Provide assistance in the day-to-day implementation of the communication strategy in the country.

Required qualifications and work experience:

• Diploma of the Faculty of International Relations, Political Science, Law or Social Sciences;

• Acquaintancewith issues related to migration;

• Advanced French and English writing, communication skills;

• Ability to quickly and efficiently collect, analyze and present data;

• Computer / software literacy, knowledge of Microsoft Office is desirable.

Languages:

Fluency in English is required.Good knowledge of French is an asset.
