German-speaking journalists are expected in Germany

This year, for the nineteenth time, talented journalists from Russia, Georgia, Belarus, Azerbaijan and other countries will gather in Germany to work in foreign editorial offices.The duration of the program is two months.During this time, you will form your own idea of ​​life abroad, get acquainted with the culture and traditions of Germany.You will simultaneously work in two media - an intern in the German editorial office and a correspondent who will cover foreign events in your home edition.

Both freelancers and editorial staff can participate. You must be between 23 and 35 years old. The main condition is excellent knowledge of German, because in it you will have to communicate with new colleagues and conduct interviews.

The organizers provide a scholarship of 3800 €. This amount will cover round trip flights, accommodation and medical insurance. Please note that there is no salary during the internship.

At the end of September 2019, participants will take part in a four-day workshop in Hamburg. After that, you will have an eight-week internship at the editorial office. After completing the internship, you must provide a report on the work done (at least three pages) and copies of the published work. It is necessary to send a package of documents by mail before April 15:

  1. Motivation letter.

  2. Summary.

  3. Recommendations from the editor-in-chief or head of department.

  4. Three texts published in the media with the logo of the publication and the date of publication.

  5. Certificate confirming knowledge of German.

  6. Indication of preference for the place of internship.
