Art Residence in Japan
The Mashiko Museum in Japan opens a residence for ceramic artists. The aim of this program is to expand the opportunities for cultural exchange among foreign ceramists, as well as to raise the level of artistic culture. At the moment, applications are open for participation in the program in the spring of 2018.
Participants can spend approximately 45 days in residency.
The residence is located in the Mashiko Museum of Ceramic Art.This is a one-story house in the city of Machico, which, in addition to exhibitions, has living rooms for program participants, as well as workshops. During their stay at the residence, program participants will work on their art projects.
The Organizers cover the following expenses:
Payment for the flight;
Free accommodation in the residence;
Project cost (materials);
Free workshop.
Eligibility Requirements:
Participants must be proficient in English and Japanese in spokenlevel, be in good health, be able to pay living expenses (food, etc.).
How to apply?
Those wishing to apply for participation in the program must print the application form (which can be found on the official website), fill it out and send it by regular mail to the address of the Machico Museum. You must also attach 10 photographs of the work to the application. All applications must be delivered by September 17, 2017.
