Natalie Lorenzo Award for Journalists
The award named after the former President of the European Commission Natalie Lorenzo was established in 1992.Every year, this award is received by the best journalists from around the world who cover the topics of democracy, development and human rights in the media.The organizers want to celebrate the talented work that often goes undeservedly unnoticed.
The theme of 2019 is “Journalism in the Struggle for Development”. Those who write on the topics of international cooperation, health care, ecology, and also talk about urgent problems of youth can take part.
Prizes will be awarded in three categories, details can be found in section "Terms and Conditions" on the official website. The best in each category will receive € 10,000. The winner in the "Novice Journalist" nomination will also receive a tempting job offer.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony to be held as part of the European Development Days 2019 in Brussels on June 18-19.

Works that were published or aired from March 10, 2018 to March 9, 2019 are accepted for the competition. If they are not written in English, French or Spanish, then translation into any of these languages must be provided.You can apply for participation until April 14, 2019.
